My mom and I watched that Ron Howard special on TCM last week(very fun special, I have to say) and one movie that stood out was Parenthood, so I Netflixed it and we watched it last night. There's this one scene where Steve Martin's character imagines how his kid will grow up and it shows people at a university running and screaming because someone on the bell tower is shooting down at students below. When they pan up to the bell tower I was like, "Damn that looks familiar" and then it pans back down to the plaza below and I go "Gese, that brick and gravel pavement looks familiar" and then it pans up again and I go "Shit, that's Turlington!" As it turns out, much of the movie was shot at UF, Gainesville and Orlando. And of course, the young Joaquin Phoenix(escuse me, "Leaf") had a role in it.

Trina will be happy to know that I finally put The Fall on my Netflix queue(it's at the top!). Also in catch-up land, I'm watching Dr. Horrible on Hulu, whichI was reminded to do because of seeing Neil Patrick Harris' appearance on SNL. Best episode of SNL since... forever... by the way. I had a hard time believing SNL writers actually came up with that stuff on their own, so I'm guessing Neil had a lot to do with it. I was actually considering taking SNL off my "Dead To Me" board when they did this (otherwise) excellent "Broadway is up shit's creek" skit in which they made a dig at Piven. I'm proud to say that when they made fun of his "bad excuse" it drew a big displeased "ohhhhh" instead of laughs from the audience, so I'm not the only one on Jeremy's side.

*Piv wanders in from Fantasy land* Thanks for having my back, baby.

No problem, sweetie.

On that note, anyone who says he dropped out of the play because he "can't take the rigors of stage acting" can S my D. He grew up in his family's theatre company in Chicago doing stage work since forever, so he most definitely understands the stresses and hard work of stage acting as much as the next Broadway veteran. Kiss my ass.

*Piv coughs* Okay, I can defend myself, Caity.

You should be resting, Jeremy. And I better not see you sneaking into the Globes tonight or I'll hunt you down and strap you to the bed with diamond filaments.

*Piv's eyebrows go up* Is that a promise?

*sighs* Just go. Anyways, I think that's about all I have to say for now. Watch the Globes tonight everybody, and watch 24 too(you have to defy physics to do this, or run back and forth between one TV and the other all night fast forwarding through bullshit or use a Tivo) and root for my poor sushi-intoxicated husband. Meanwhile, I'll be rooting for the fifty other awesome actors I love who got nominated this year, including Denis Leary, who just happens to be up against Piv in the same category.

*Piv rushes back* How could you?!

*punches his arm* Good day everyone!

MAJOR UPDATE: SHAHRUKH KHAN WILL BE A PRESENTER AT THE GLOBES TONIGHT!

HOLY SHIT this is too sexy for America. OMFG OMFG Remember to breathe, Caity, breathe.

I wonder if this is an indication of who may win for Best Drama film or for music... Honestly, I'd be happy if it's Button or Slumdog(I love both STs as well)... but really, if Slumdog wins, it'll make SRK super uber happy ;)

A.R. Rahman, so you know, is a major composer in Bollywood, and I love his work from Swades and Guru and of course his epic score for Jodhaa Akbar. I have all of those STs in my iPod at all times and I was glad to hear his stuff in this not-really-Bollywood movie.

Okay, I'm breathing normally now. Oh wait, I'm hyperventilating again. Never mind!
