Potential possibly guilty pleasure of the week

A Perfect Getaway.

It's only potential because it hasn't been indulged yet, and only possibly because some of the early reviews are making me less and less worried about having to defend myself for going to see it. As I could've predicted, the consensus is that half of critics think it's absolute drivel and the other half think that in a pass-fail test, it's definitely passable. Not saying much, I know, but even if the critic hates it, they tend to single out Steve Zahn as an underrated, genuinely talented actor who's finally getting a decent chance to show his non-goofball non-sidekick side. They love him. This comes as no surprise. And if they love him in this, and I love him in anything, I'm sure I'll be more than satisfied.

So, yes, I shall go see it tomorrow afternoon. And then Julie & Julia in the evening. Not a bad combo, right? ;)
