Well, the boss is doing interviews for my replacement now, and thank the Universe! I’m terribly tired of all the driving now. Until this limbo position began, extensive driving on my part was associated with trips to fun places like Orlando or Gainseville or Tampa, but now it’s just spent making me realize how damned spread out Hernando County is.

This week has been a bit of a black hole for my sanity for multiple reasons, central of which is hormonal, I believe. I despise those chemicals. This afternoon and evening, at least, I'm free to

a) arrive home at a normal hour
b) water my darling plants and check their growing status
c) eat a lovely dinner at a normal hour
d) blog
e) do laundry
f) watch Earl and Office and Supernatural

All of which contribute to my sanity.

This weekend I will

a) chill out with Connie
b) lounge around and read
c) do more gardening
d) go see Monsters vs. Aliens in 3D

All of which will contribute to my happiness.

In the end, this cruddy week just makes the end all the more enjoyable. My life is balanced after all.

I cannot wait for Spring Break. I certainly hope Casey and Joseph and I can work out a plan to visit the Kennedy Space Center together, which would satiate the uber-nerd within us all. If not, it will be a relaxing, eventless break, which I would welcome just as happily.

Also, the comp time I’m getting now equals some combination of 3-day weekends and half days for a while, so I’m already planning out a nice Orlando getaway with Connie and George sometime in May. Friends and drinks and molten magma-like hot tubs sounds like heaven right about now ;)
